THE SEDGWICK COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT ENCOURAGES TESTING: MARCH 25 - AMERICAN DIABETES ALERT DAY Sedgwick County, Kansas Tuesday, March 25, 2008 is the 20th Annual American Diabetes Alert Day This one-day call to action encourages those at risk for developing Type 2 Diabetes, or those with loved ones at risk, to take the Diabetes Risk Test The Diabetes Risk Test is available on the Sedgwick County Web site: wwwsedgwickcountyorg or by calling the American Diabetes Association at 800DIABETES 800-342-2383 The test is available in English and Spanish The Sedgwick County Health Department supports this day and urges the many Sedgwick County citizens who are unaware they have diabetes or are at risk for developing Type 2 Diabetes to take the Diabetes Risk Test If citizens take the test and score high, they should schedule an appointment with their healthcare provider
