Ovitt Supports Walk to Cure Diabetes
San Bernardino- Supervisor Gary Ovitt pledged his commitment to help raise awareness for the Walk to Cure Diabetes at yesterdays Board of Supervisors meeting The Walk to Cure Diabetes is truly a worthwhile effort that will provide hope to the millions who suffer from this disease, and allow the scientific community the funding necessary to find a cure that is within our reach, stated Ovitt I would encourage everyone to take time out of their schedule to support this organization Supervisor Ovitt continues the Countys over 20 year commitment to raise funds to further research for finding a cure The County also disseminates information to children diagnosed with the disease, and supports diabetes awareness to school nurses and students Approximately 1100 citizens attended and took part in the 2004 Walk and it is estimated that over 1500 will be in attendance this year The Walk to Cure Diabetes is scheduled for September
