This month, The American Diabetes Association is celebrating the 20th
Annual Diabetes Alert Day Always the fourth Tuesday in March, this year
Diabetes Alert Day is Tuesday March 25th, 2008 Diabetes Alert Day is a
one-day, wake-up call to inform the American public about the
seriousness of diabetes It is estimated that more than six million
people have diabetes and dont know it and one in five Americans are at
risk for developing type 2 diabetes So Sound the Alert Diabetes Alert
Day is coming

Lets not forget, Happy National Nutrition Month to all our Registered
Dietitians Enjoy your month and thank you for all that you do

Spotlight on the News:

The Installation Dinner Planning Committee met on Monday February 25th A
very productive meeting led to some fun and exciting things for this years
Annual Installation Dinner and Awards Night I hope you have all marked
your calendars for
Thursday May 1st, 2008 at the Milleridge Inn Cottage
Keep an eye out, you will receive a separate email invitation for this
wonderful evening Each year this evening gets better and better and a fun
time is had by all I especially love this night because it allows us to
talk face to face with those colleagues we only speak to through email and
of course the added benefit to meet new members and hearing what exciting
things are happening in the diabetes world around the metropolitan area
Please dont wait, respond right away, and bring a friend the more the
merrier

Dont forget the Annual Installation Dinner is also an Awards night

We will also be swearing in the new board members too Please be there to
support your new Executive Board Nominations for executive board

New York Territory includes New York State, New Jersey, Eastern
Pennsylvania and Delaware; and the second is to cover the New England

The Clinical Science Manager should be a seasoned diabetes clinician who
enjoys:
Working with Key Opinion Leaders in the field of diabetes
Training Health Care Professionals and users on the use of the ADC
Continuous Glucose Monitoring system

the territory
Providing intensive diabetes management training and education to
clinicians and patients
