The Scripps Whittier Diabetes Program is designed to meet individual needs while creating a foundation of knowledge necessary to successfully manage diabetes Recognizing the value of a team approach in diabetes management, our groups are facilitated by Certified Diabetes Educators including Registered Nurses and Registered Dietitians Spouses or significant others are welcome to attend The program consists of: Practical information about self-care management Nutrition counseling for optimal blood sugar Positive lifestyle options to prevent and reduce complications levels Meal planning and carbohydrate counting to fit ones lifestyle Group discussion and support Blood glucose monitoring skills 2008 Class Schedule
