We are the Diabetes Association Inc DAI an independent, community based, non-profit organization serving the Greater Fall River and New Bedford communities Our mission is to improve the health and well being of the communities that we serve by advancing diabetes prevention, early detection, education and disease management Founded by parents of children with type 1 juvenile diabetes in 1971, DAI is your family and community diabetes resource We provide a range of services to those with diabetes with the following 3 focus areas: Youth Families, Awareness Prevention and Adult Support Management Programs

DAI located a new home in Rehoboth for Camp Kyle, allowing us to expand our camp season to 4 weeks and serve more children with diabetes Camp Kyle was reaccredited by the American Camping Association 365 families and 65 schools received services for children with diabetes in their care Over 
100 alumni attended Camp Kyles first reunion celebrating 26 years of diabetes camping
