Create a buzz on Diabetes Buzz Day

Diabetes Buzz Day - the annual fundraising event for Diabetes Australia
States and Territories will be held on Friday, 19 September and in the next
few weeks more than 200,000 flashing pens, torch keyrings, magnetic badges
and buzz bees will sent out to selected retail outlets across the nation to
help fight diabetes

The merchandise will be sold at the selected retail outlets and Sydney and
Melbourne railway stations on Diabetes Buzz Day

The annual fundraising event is the biggest appeal by Diabetes Australia
and aims to raise 400,000 for vital diabetes awareness, education,
research and advocacy programs

There will be plenty of opportunities for people to buy merchandise and
help the campaign

While September 19 is the date that Buzz Day flashing pens, torch keyrings,
magnetic badges and buzz bees merchandise will be sold at railways
stations, they will be available throughout September at Best Less,
Blooms The Chemist, Medicare NSW ACT, National Pharmacies, Pharmacist
Advice, Priceline, Priceline Pharmacy, Soul Pattinson Chemist, Terry White
Chemists and Tony Ferguson

The ever
popular bee dogs, peepers bee and the new bee bear will be
available online at wwwbuzzdaycomau

Diabetes Australia-NSW is also appealing for volunteers to help sell Buzz
Day merchandise at Central, Town Hall, Wynyard, Circular Quay, St Leonards,
Parramatta, Martin Place, Blacktown, Bondi Junction, Burwood and Ashfield
stations Merchandise will also be sold at the QVB and Pitt St forecourts
and Martin Place

This is the eighth consecutive year for Diabetes Buzz Day and is made
possible through the generous support of official sponsor, Toll Priority
and other retail supporters

Diabetes Australia is a non-profit, non-government organisation, which
relies heavily on community support to continue its programs that help
thousands of people with diabetes every year
