Kidney Walk
The mission of the National Kidney Foundation is to prevent kidney and
urinary tract diseases, improve the health and well-being of individuals
and families affected by these diseases and increase the availability of
all organs for transplantation
The Kidney Walk presents an occasion for dialysis patients, organ
transplant recipients, donor families, the medical communities and general
public to celebrate life and support the Foundations mission
The NKF Kidney Walks are designed to help people understand the need for
early detection of kidney disease While raising funds for the National
Kidney Foundations programs and services, the Kidney Walk provides an
opportunity for family, friends and colleagues to participate in an
inspiring, community-based event
In Hampton Roads there will be two walks:
Saturday, October 4, 2008 at Portsmouth City Park
Saturday, October 18, 2008 at Center City in Newport News
